ATTORNEY ALEX MALICH
Alex Malich is a litigation attorney with 35 years of experience practicing workers’ compensation and CDL traffic defense law.
Attorney Malich successfully represents injured workers throughout the state of Pennsylvania in order to receive and maintain the compensation that they deserve.
He has also defended numerous major insurance carriers and third party administrators, as well as national, state, and local businesses from a large variety of industries and services, both large and small, in the area of workers’ compensation.
With extensive experience representing both claimants and employers in Workers’ Compensation litigation, as well serving the Court during decision-making, he knows how all sides think, understands how to approach the problem from these angles, and can anticipate the other side’s strategy and analysis.
In addition, Attorney Malich effectively defends many out-of-state CDL drivers accused of major and serious Traffic Offenses while in Pennsylvania, saving their driving privileges and employment.
Attorney Malich holds a BA Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He attended the Duquesne University School of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the Duquesne Law Review, served in an honors internship for the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, and received his Juris Doctor in 1989.
Prior to starting his own practice in 2010, Attorney Malich spent ten years at Malone, Middleman, P.C., where he was a shareholder for five years.
Before accepting that position, he was in-house counsel for Kemper Insurance Companies (1996-2000), and an employee of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry, Office of Chief Counsel.
As an employee of the Chief Counsel’s office, Attorney was assigned to work as a law clerk to Workers’ Compensation Judge Manager Persifor S. Oliver, Jr. (1994-1996), who oversaw the Bureau of Workers Compensation Judges for the western half of the state.
Prior to his acceptance of this position, Mr. Malich served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph Hudock of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, and represented parties in civil, family, and traffic cases, as well as claimants in workers’ compensation matters.
Since starting his own practice in 2010, he has represented thousands of highly satisfied clients, and continues to do so.
Attorney Malich is assisted by Paralegal Karen Cipalla, who spent 14 years working for the PMA Insurance Group, where she was a Senior Claims Adjuster in the arena of workers’ compensation. Prior to that she spent 11 years at Alexsis, Inc., as a Senior Claims Adjuster and Workers’ Compensation Supervisor.
